Nigel House is NIGEL's first project for adults with disabilities. It is designed for 35 adults with on call staff within the building. Nigel House opened on December 11, 1977 and is located in Saanich close to Saanich City Hall and Swan Lake.

Open since December 1982, Sutton House is designed for 6 residents with an 18-hour support care worker. It is in a heritage house located in James Bay at 106 Medana Street close to James Bay Village and beautiful Beacon Hill Park.

NIGEL developed a second group home in May of 1985. This group home is designed for 5 relatively independent younger adults, with a 7 hour/day support care worker. The Oak Bay location is near stores, services and the recreation centre.
To establish and maintain cost-effective, accessible homes that provide a caring environment for adults aged 19 to 55 whose primary disabilities are physical.
